Asia is a British-Korean illustrator who primarily works with digital processes. For illustration, she works under her Korean name, Sora Jo. Her work is surreal and colourful to attract the eye and give a feeling of joy to even serious subjects. Political and environmental issues greatly influence her artwork and she is passionate about using artistic mediums to spread positive change. Outside of illustration, Asia enjoys dabbling in mix-media, ceramics, embroidery and writing for both fiction and non-fiction.
Asia’s FMP covers the struggles of Indigenous peoples as they fight against the changing climate and political forces. Whereas, her dissertation attempts to dispel the negative portrayal of insects and prove how deeply we rely on them.
